Overview
This course introduces the delegate to the main architectural concepts of Data Guard. Delegates will learn how to use Oracle Data Guard to protect Oracle Databases against planned and unplanned downtime. They will learn how to create and manage physical, logical and snapshot standby databases. They will also learn how to use standby databases in a standby role for reporting, querying and testing purposes.

The Oracle Database Data Guard course is suitable for users of Oracle Database 11gR2 and 12c Data Guard.
Prerequisites
    • Oracle Database 12C Administration, Backup and Recovery with RMAN, and RAC and Grid Infrastructure Administration
    • Oracle Database 11g Release 2 DBA Part I and II
    • Linux Introduction
    • A working knowledge of Oracle Database Administration is required. This course is run in a Linux environment and a working knowledge of the UNIX operating system is therefore highly recommended. These skills can be obtained by attending the pre-requisite courses.
