Course Overview

"A wise man will make more opportunities than he finds" - Francis Bacon. To know how an organisation is doing overall, we must understand how the organisation is performing in each individual area of concern. In order to accurately measure performance, it is crucial to collect and organise accurate data. This course provides a step by step approach to the implementation of performance measurement and management systems and processes- both quantitative and qualitative. Performance measurement encompasses all the business disciplines- not just financial measurement but also marketing and sales, human resources, logistics, manufacturing, facilities and standards including ICT systems. All operation functions need best practice guidance for key managers responsible for collating performance statistics, analysing the results and providing the key benchmarks to implement improvements. The course also examines the people issues, that is, how best to implement performance standards and handle of potentially difficult situations.
